In Active Matter, I check several specific locations when I want to find valuable loot, weapon crates, and enriched weapons. In this guide, I cover the loot spots I use in Cargo Port, Dogorsk, Shchegolsk, Ozernoe, Dam, Military Base, and Park.
Active Matter Loot Locations and Enriched Weapons
Below, I have included the locations and routes I use so they are easier to find during a raid. Some of these areas contain weapon crates, helicopters, locked rooms, or routes that can lead to more valuable loot.
Cargo Port Loot Route
The route marked below is the safest path I use to reach the barge. It works well for me in PvE, and even in PvP I have not been caught very often while following this route.
Important: when I go to the barges, I always take a shotgun as my second weapon. I find it much easier to clear Devourers with a shotgun, while automatic weapons can use too much ammunition.
Near the end of the route, there is a portal that leads to the crane. I need a key to open the crane, and from there I can use the portal to reach the Weapon Barge. I usually find more valuable loot there, and I have also brought back weapons such as the PKM, VAL, and SVD.
Dogorsk Loot Locations
In Dogorsk, I usually check three main points of interest, although I consider it four because one of these locations can change.
The first two locations are the houses marked with arrows. For the first house, I enter through the first entrance and make my way up to the roof while avoiding Devourer attacks.
For the second house, I climb the wall, move toward the edge, carefully drop down, and cross to the other section. The main point of interest here is the helicopter inside the anomaly.
The third location is near the police station. A helicopter surrounded by Flowermen can appear there, or I may find a checkpoint with weapon crates instead. I personally avoid entering the police station because every time I tried going inside, I died.
The fourth location is near the tunnel, where a helicopter can also spawn.
Shchegolsk Underwater Helicopter Loot
In Shchegolsk, I look for the helicopter in the water. The red circle below shows the rear section of the rotor. I swim toward it and dive down, while keeping an eye on my oxygen and avoiding unnecessary rushing.
If I look at the helicopter from the tail, I usually find two crates on the left side and none on the right. If I approach it from the cockpit, the positions are reversed, with the crates on the right instead.
Ozernoe Loot Locations
In Ozernoe, the circles below mark the areas where loot can appear. In the forest, I usually look for a helicopter and three weapon crates. The area can be surrounded by Flowermen and mines, and Turned Soldiers can also move toward the location, so I approach it carefully.
On the road near the fire station, I usually find two ZIL trucks with two or three crates containing weapons and medical supplies.
The helicopter location in the forest can also be replaced by a convoy of ZIL trucks.
The cross marks a boss spawn location. I mostly encounter the boss there with the Overgrowth raid modifier. I do not remember whether it also appears there during a standard raid.
Dam Loot Location
At the Dam, many of the rooms I would want to enter for valuable loot require a Lock Actuator. I need to unlock its crafting recipe and make one before I can open these doors.
The same item is also needed later for the Laboratory in Park.
The main location I marked here is where I personally found the cassette containing the trailer song “Peremen.”
Military Base Loot Locations
At the Military Base, I first check the two hangars shown on the map because there are plenty of weapon crates inside. I also check the two barracks marked with arrows.
The barracks are locked and require a key. I can get this key through crafting, or very rarely find one during a raid.
In Barracks No. 1, the key can appear in the office opposite the barred room or in one of the classrooms. I have also seen information that it can appear in offices on the first floor.
Military Base Barracks Route
During one difficult raid, I followed these steps while searching for the key and looting the second armory:
- I checked the office opposite the room, but the key was not there.
- I passed the classroom with the hole in the floor that can be used to reach the second floor, but I did not search it.
- I entered the next classroom and found the key there by chance.
- I moved from Barracks No. 1 to Barracks No. 2.
- I carefully went up to the second floor while avoiding the Distorted.
- Armory No. 2 is in the same position as the armory in Barracks No. 1. I went there, unlocked it, and collected the loot.
Park Loot Location
Park is a very difficult raid. I cover the information I have for this area separately in the Park quest section rather than going into more detail here.
