Character identification is one of the most important parts of The Incident at Galley House. This guide lists every original and new-scenario character, their IDs, relationships or roles, animal photograph matches, identifying clues, and death times.
All Characters, IDs and Photo Matches
The original case uses numbered silhouettes and animal-labelled photographs. I identify each person through dialogue, relationships, clothing, injuries, objects, and the rooms they visit. The later scenario uses employee and contractor roles instead of animal labels.

Unused and Red-Herring Photos
Adder, Mole, and Swallow do not match the Galley House victims. They appear to be leftover evidence from a separate inheritance-dispute investigation, so I do not assign them to the main cast.
Original Character Death Order
The numbered IDs form a countdown through the curse chain. Rupert is the hidden ID 12 and dies first, followed by Thornton 11, Evelyn 10, Helen 9, Damian 8, Vic 7, Eddie 6, Martha 5, Tony 4, Oswald 3, and Annie 2. John is ID 1 because he dies last, although his fall rather than the curse kills him. Katherine uses the letter K and dies at time 25.

How I Use the Character List
When a scene code fails, I compare the character list with the timeline and check whether another relative, employee, or forgotten victim should also be present. This is especially important for Rupert, Katherine, and Edwin, whose profiles must be revealed or created later in the investigation.
