How to Cure Animals from Parasites in Zoochosis

In this guide I will explain how to cure animals against parasites in Zoochosis.

Mother Parasites and All Parasites Cures

During your first playthrough, it’s impossible to achieve a good ending. Even if you heal all the animals, you won’t have enough parasites extracted from the healthy creatures, and the Mother Parasite won’t be among them. Therefore, your first objective is to complete the game to any ending, which will unlock New Game+ mode.

Where to Find Recipes

While visiting the first storage area in one of the enclosures, you’ll receive a call from the wife of one of the employees, C.J. She’ll ask you to check his locker. After receiving the call, immediately head back to the hub without feeding the animals or measuring their stats. Open his locker and take the card and recipes for healing darts. Then, you can return to the enclosures. If you enter the enclosure first, feed the animals, and complete your tasks, the parasite will manifest, and you won’t have an opportunity to heal it. This will require a guaranteed restart in New Game+.

Action Sequence in the Enclosure

  1. Prepare food for the regular animals, feed them, and measure sound levels, temperature, and collect feces.
  2. Important: You only have one entry into the enclosure before the parasite manifests, so ensure you have everything prepared in advance (tranquilizers/food).
  3. Once you’ve gathered all the necessary data, take two blood samples from each animal and return to the train. Submit the feces samples but do not submit the blood samples yet.
  4. As a result, you’ll have all the indicators except for blood, which will correspond to two medical vaccines (see the Medical Vaccines and Symptoms section above): one with infected blood and one with healthy blood. Craft both, then submit the blood samples.
  5. Before returning to the enclosure, double-check the indicators again (this can be done using the computer in Disease Diagnostics mode). You might encounter two situations:
    • Scenario 1: There is enough blood left to determine if it’s infected or not—if so, you’ll know exactly which vaccine to use.
    • Scenario 2: There isn’t enough blood to determine infection—you’ll have to test the vaccines manually. Shoot one of them at the monster when you enter the enclosure. If one of its health bars is highlighted in green, that’s the correct vaccine; if not, use the other one.
  6. Hit the monster with 3 healing darts to make it spit out the parasite, which you can then collect using the waste extractor.

Note: If any animal dies and you want to save them all, exit to the main menu before fully healing the parasite in the enclosure.

How to Handle the Elephant Monster

Most monsters don’t have unique traits, but the elephant is an exception. After the first healing dart hits it, it becomes covered in armor that cannot be pierced. To remove the armor, lure the elephant to charge at you, then dodge at the last moment so it crashes into the wall. This will temporarily remove its armor.

What to Do After Healing the Monster

After healing a monster, use the waste extractor to collect the parasite and return to the train to craft regular healing vaccines. You can choose the vaccines based on the one you used to treat the parasite earlier.
