In this complete The Life and Suffering of Prince Jerian walkthrough, I explain the choices I use to establish Jerian’s Creed, reform the Empire, unite House Tempest, marry Lucretia, preserve the bloodline, win the Millennial Senate, and reach the Triumph ending. I also cover an alternative peaceful Reformer route, romance endings, important achievements, hidden event requirements, and the updated final political statistics.
Walkthrough: Endings and Achievements
I use two different Reformer paths in this guide. My updated main route focuses on Jerian’s Creed, House Tempest unity, Lucretia’s marriage route, Absolute Law, continuation of the bloodline, and a decisive victory in the Great War. The alternative route sacrifices some of that political and dynastic focus to protect more of Jerian’s childhood companions and resolve the final rebellion peacefully.
Warning: This Prince Jerian walkthrough contains major spoilers for all five chapters, political outcomes, relationships, achievements, and endings.
Table of Contents
I mark conditional events with an asterisk. These scenes only appear when I satisfy the listed relationship, personality, political, or story requirements. Some event and achievement names may differ slightly depending on the language or localization version I use.
Updated Main Route: House Tempest Unity and Lucretia Ending
On this route, I play Jerian as an educated and compassionate reformer who still understands the value of family authority, noble institutions, and political stability. I support Progress and the Rule of Law without completely destroying Arkn traditions, and I keep House Tempest powerful enough to survive the final crisis.
This route leads me toward Jerian’s Creed, marriage to Lucretia, a strong House Tempest, Absolute Law, the continuation of the bloodline, and Triumph. Because the updated ending finishes with moderate Equality rather than maximum Equality, I treat the separate Reformer achievement route as a replay variation explained later in the guide.
Chapter I: Oblivion
During the first chapter, I concentrate on Wisdom, diplomacy, Jerian’s bond with Cornelius and Ferdinand, and his ability to preserve part of his personality while resisting the River of Blood.
- The Stranger: I examine the stranger more closely. This leaves me with Reason 6 and Passion 4.
- Cornelius’ Lesson: I insist on receiving the reading lesson. Wisdom reaches 2.

- *The Final Sermon: I persuade Martha to reconsider. This requires Martha +2 and gives me Wisdom 8 and Martha +3.
- Hour of Trial: I deliver the carefully prepared speech. This unlocks Worthy Student, raises Diplomacy to 3, and increases Cornelius to +3.
- Tempest: I resist the River of Blood. I finish the chapter with Sanity 4, Will 6, Blood 4, and Legacy +5.
I deliberately accept the loss of one Sanity point during Jerian’s transformation. By preserving part of his former personality, I gain more freedom to make independent decisions in the later chapters.

- Address to the People: I calm my subjects. I unlock Love of the People, increase every estate by 1, and reduce Unrest by 1.
I reject Utter’s, Ferdinand’s, and Servilia’s personal projects because they consume resources and pull House Tempest in conflicting directions. Keeping the family united is more important for this ending than supporting every relative’s private ambition.

Main Route Ending
After I present Jerian’s Creed, the Old Faith launches an uprising against the new imperial order. The followers of the Old Faith face the combined strength of the Worthy Arkns, human nobles, New Faith clergy, and commoners, while the Great Houses remain largely neutral. The conflict lasts less than a year and ends in Jerian’s victory.
Orgriff is removed from the Council after the war. When Utter II eventually dies, Jerian’s military victory and successful rule lead to his election as Emperor. The reformed Empire is governed through Progress, secular law, and moderate Equality. Noble privileges survive, but every estate receives legal protection, and the Emperor can no longer rule as an unchecked tyrant.
House Tempest becomes one of the strongest dynasties in the Empire and directly controls Arknia, Hermia, and Astinia. Cornelius redeems himself by protecting Guy during the war and dies in battle with full honors. Guy marries Camilla and later becomes Great Chancellor, Ferdinand dedicates himself to medicine, and Flavius spends his life writing poetry and caring for his gardens.
Lucretia gives birth to a son named Guy and a daughter named Diana. She raises both children personally instead of following the traditional Arkn custom of distancing parents from their children. Jerian survives into maturity with his mind mostly intact, although he occasionally suffers from insomnia. Monrog later revives the Republic in his province, leaving a possible source of future conflict.
Alternative Route: Peaceful Reformer Ending
I use this alternative route when I want Jerian to establish his Creed, win the Senate, sever his connection to the River of Blood, save more of his childhood companions, and resolve the final rebellion through concessions instead of a decisive military and legal crackdown.
This route follows a substantially different relationship and political path. I therefore recommend starting it from a clean Chapter I save instead of attempting to change routes near the ending.

How I Unlock the Reformer Achievement
The updated Tempest unity route prioritizes Absolute Law, political stability, and House Tempest Strength, so it ends with Equality 5 rather than a fully maximized Equality result. When I specifically want the Reformer achievement, I use a separate stat-focused replay and aim for at least 8 Progress, 8 Equality, and 8 Rule of Law.
I preserve the reform foundations from the main walkthrough but switch to the strongest available Equality options during Chapters III and IV. I also use the following Chapter V decisions to complete Progress and Rule of Law:
- I travel to Constantia and allow Marcianism.
- I support the University when the Progress triumph event appears.
- I choose the Equality-increasing resolution during The Color of the Nation.
- I put the rebel leaders on trial or use the strongest available Rule of Law resolution during A Spark in the Darkness.
- I create the unified Code of Sin during The Rise of Law.
- I restore Cornelius to a position where his final event can provide the remaining political or achievement result I need.
I keep a Chapter IV and Chapter V save before attempting this variation because the Equality-maximizing decisions can change estate loyalty, the rebellion outcome, and the cost of victory.
Alternative Romance Endings
The Reformer walkthrough gives me useful chapter replay points for Lucretia, Agatha, and Camilla. I can reload the relevant chapter instead of repeating the entire game for every relationship achievement.
Lucretia Endings
I replay from Chapter V, preserve my marriage to Lucretia, and choose the required revenge or bloodline decisions.
- Lucretia as Empress: Co-Rulers
- Lucretia as Mother: Continuation of the Bloodline
Agatha Endings
I replay from Chapter IV and commit to Agatha’s relationship path near the end of the chapter.
- Agatha as Beloved: Miracle of Love with the Home ending
- Agatha as Mentor: Wrath of the Younger with the Foot ending and Embrace of Love with the Summit ending
- Agatha as Chosen One: Misalliance and Second Coming during Come and See
- Agatha as Prophet: To Love This World during Beloved Student
Camilla Endings
I replay from Chapter II and continue Camilla’s relationship path instead of leaving her story connected only to Guy.
- Camilla as Companion: Homewrecker
- Camilla’s Lesson of Freedom: Broken Chains. I need Will 8 or must sacrifice Sanity to pass the requirement.
- Camilla as a Slave of Blood: Slave of Blood
How I Unlock Untouchable Vassals
To unlock Untouchable Vassals, I follow the alternative Martha and Emil storyline across multiple chapters. The necessary conditions are easy to miss, so I keep a separate save before Birth of a Knight.
- In Chapter II, I make Emil my Favorite during Birth of a Knight.
- In Chapter III, I make Martha a Libertine during Manor of Mischief.
- In Chapter IV, I turn Emil and Martha into Libertines.
- In Chapter V, I protect Emil and Martha and make them Untouchable.
Which Prince Jerian Route Should I Choose?
I use the updated Tempest unity route when I want the most complete dynastic ending: Jerian’s Creed, Lucretia’s marriage, continuation of the bloodline, Absolute Law, House Tempest Strength 29, family unity, and Triumph. It creates a progressive but stable limited monarchy in which noble privileges survive under a powerful legal system.
I use the peaceful Reformer route when I care more about Martha, Emil, Agatha, severing the River of Blood, and avoiding bloodshed during the final rebellion. It is less focused on maximizing House Tempest’s military and dynastic power, but it opens several relationship and companion outcomes that the main route cannot reach.
Whichever route I follow, I keep permanent saves at the beginning of Chapters II, IV, and V. These saves let me explore the romance endings, political achievements, alternative rebellion resolutions, and mutually exclusive choices without repeating Jerian’s entire life from the beginning.
