In this Map Map – A Game About Maps treasure chest guide, I show where I found all treasure chest hints and chest locations for Islands 4 through 10. To make navigation easier, I grouped everything by island and kept the chest locations separate from the clue locations.

Treasure Map Hints and Chest Locations

I used this route while searching for every treasure chest across the later islands. Below, you can find all hint locations and the corresponding treasure chest locations for Islands 4 to 10.

Island 4

Hint Location

I found the hint inside the ruin that needs to be discovered on the island.

Chest Location

I found the treasure chest on the beach at the north side of the island, hidden between the rocks.

Island 5

Hint Locations

  • The first hint is given during the story.
  • The second hint is located on a wall about 10 steps from the marker.
  • The third hint is south-west of the marker on top of the hill.
  • The fourth hint is hidden inside a crevice at the south-east inlet.

Chest 1

I found the story-related treasure chest inside the church-like structure.

I found this chest on the beach in the south-east part of the island.

I found this chest 5 steps west of the tower.

Island 6

Hint Location

I found the clue inside the tower.

Chest Location

I found the treasure chest 4 steps east of the beehive on the south-western plateau.

Island 7

Hint Locations

  • I found one hint on the bottom floor of the house on the north shore.
  • Another hint is hidden between rocks north-east of the marker.
  • The final clue requires digging in front of the black cat carrying a carrot.

Chest 1

I found this chest between the marker and the pillar near the north shore.

I found this chest a few steps south-west of the marker.

I found the black cat north-west of the tower and dug there to get the chest.

Island 8

Hint Locations

  • I found a tablet in the water near the eastern island.
  • Another clue is connected to a cross hidden somewhere underwater.

Chest 1

I found the chest toward the north side of the underwater plateau.

I found this chest roughly in the middle between the red fish and the small piece of land sticking out of the water.

Island 9

Hint Locations

  • One clue refers to a buried offering.
  • Another clue is on top of the wooden platform at the south quarry.
  • The final clue involves completing the triangle in the bay.

I found this chest near a small shrine south of the bridge with the cross.

I found this chest on the raised plateau between the tower and the bridges.

Island 10

Hint Locations

  • I checked the town map.
  • I found a clue at the south entrance of town.
  • Another clue is above the doorway of the westernmost house.
  • The last clue is connected to two wall markers pointing toward the town.

I found this chest next to the west wall of the house directly north of the tower ruins.
