This Steins;Gate guide covers all seven endings, all 41 achievements, the important email replies, phone choices, CGs, wallpapers, and the Rai-Net story summaries. The route below is designed to complete everything efficiently in a first playthrough while keeping the important save files needed for the alternate endings.
All Chapters Guide: Achievements, Endings & Email Guide
When an email contains an image, wallpaper, or story-summary attachment, you must actually open the attachment for it to count. Simply receiving the email is not enough. When you hear the email notification sound, open the message and reply immediately. If you wait too long, the underlined keywords may disappear, preventing you from selecting the required reply.

Important Save Files
Keep the following nine save files throughout the playthrough. Save before making the indicated choice or before the chapter-end phone operation appears.

Tip: Saves A and D should be kept until all three late-game endings are completed. Saves E, G, H, and I must be created before their respective chapter-end phone operations.
Prologue to Chapter 1
Phone Microwave Timer
Enter an incorrect setting 10 times to unlock the achievement Home Run of a Clumsy Person. After the achievement unlocks, enter 120# to continue the story.
Upa Email
- “Upa…” → “Upa”
- Open both image attachments in the follow-up email.
Rai-Net Story Summaries
- “Don’t Treat It as Funds~ ><“ → “Sho-kun”
- Open the story-summary attachment in the follow-up email.
Chaos;Head Wallpaper
- “The Decisive Battle Is Right Before Us, Meow” → “Crimson Southern Cross”
- Open the image attachment in the follow-up email.
Phone Achievements
- Change your phone wallpaper once.
- Change your ringtone once.
- After completing any email reply, open one entry in your sent-mail history.
- Open one entry in your received-mail history.
Chapter 2
Moeka’s “Student?” and “Type” Emails
Leave at least one of these two emails unopened. Neither email contains an attachment, but leaving one unread is required for the Forgotten Message achievement when reaching the Suzuha Ending. If you accidentally open one, leave the other unopened.
Mayuri’s Phone Call
On August 1, when Mayuri calls while the woman at the shop is staring at you, answer the call. This unlocks an exclusive CG sequence.
Kurisu’s Phone Call
When Kurisu calls later on August 1, answer the call. This also unlocks an exclusive CG sequence.
Luka’s Family Email
- “Made Some Sweets” → “Family”
- “About Family” → “Older Sister”
- Open the final email.
Chapter 3
Daru’s Phone Call
On August 3, after receiving the Titor email, Daru calls. Do not answer the call. Let it ring until it stops by itself. This unlocks the Completely Isolated Individual achievement without losing the relevant CG.
Rai-Net Episodes 11–13
- “PHANTASM Is the Best, Meow~” → “Theme Song”
- “Rai-Net Season 2 OP” → “Rai-Net Sho”
Open all three story-summary attachments in the final email.
GuaGua Frog Wallpapers
- “About Frogs” → “GuaGua Frog”
- Open all three image attachments in the follow-up emails.
Chapter 4
Rai-Net and Character Emails
- “Speaking of the Lottery” → “Magazine”
- “The Rai-Net Thing” → No reply required. Open the three story-summary attachments in the final email.
- “Akihabara” → “Peace”. Open the follow-up email to unlock Suzuha’s character email achievement.
- “Omen of the Great Disaster” → “It”
- “Did You Go Out?” → “Gahuri-kun”
Save B – “About Her Ability”
Save before replying to “About Her Ability”.
First choose “Meow-Meow Language” and open the final email. Then load Save B and choose “Chinchilla Star” instead. The latter route provides the Rai-Net Episodes 8–10 story summaries.
Kurisu’s First Email Chain
- “Did You Write It?” → “Scientist”
- “Scientist??” → “Shitty Scientist”
- “Shitty Scientist” → “Bad Joke”
Kurisu’s Second Email Chain
- “Home Alone” → “Outsider”
- “Eh, Eh, Eh?” → “Humiliation”
- “I Keep Staring at My Hand” → “Why Am I Here?”
After completing both chains, receive and open “Since I Am Here” to unlock the Genius Girl’s Melancholy achievement.
Rai-Net Episodes 8-10
- “Re: Re: Episode 8” → “Episode 8”
- Open the Episode 8–10 story-summary attachments in the final email.
Chapter 5
Save D – “Plans”
Save before replying to “Plans”. Choose “Transportation Fare” to keep the Steins;Gate True Ending conditions active.
Save C – “Something Fun Today”
Save before replying to “Something Fun Today”.
- First choose “COSPLAY Costume” and open the final email.
- Load Save C.
- Choose “Fubuki-chan and Kaede” instead.
- Open both image attachments in the follow-up emails.
This collects the remaining Chaos;Head wallpapers and unlocks the related achievement.
Chapter 6 – Suzuha Ending
Before the Ending
Make sure at least one of Moeka’s “Student?” or “Type” emails from Chapter 2 is still unread.
After the time jump, when Okabe wants to contact Mayuri, call Luka instead. This triggers the shrine sequence and its exclusive CG.
Save E
Create Save E before the chapter-end phone operation. When the phone prompt appears, do not operate the phone. Let the story continue to reach the Suzuha Ending.
This also allows the unread-email achievement to be obtained.
Continue to Chapter 7
Load Save E and, at the phone prompt, send an email to “Phone Microwave (Provisional)” to continue.
Chapter 7 – Faris Ending and GuaGua Frog Wallpaper
Save F – “Key (ﾉД`)”
Save before replying to “Key (ﾉД`)”.
First choose “Home” and continue through the following email chain:
- “Key (ﾉД`)” → “Home”
- “Home” → “wowow”
- “Rumble Rumble Rumble” → “I Told You Exactly What Happened Just Now”
Open the final image attachment to obtain the last GuaGua Frog wallpaper.
Return to the True Ending Route
Load Save F and choose:
- “No Key”
- “Security”
- “Reality”
Save G – Faris Ending
Create Save G before the chapter-end phone operation. When the phone prompt appears, do not operate the phone to reach the Faris Ending.
Load Save G and send an email to “(Unregistered) Phone Microwave (Provisional)” to continue to Chapter 8.
Chapter 8 – Luka Ending
Save H
Create Save H before the chapter-end phone operation. When the phone prompt appears, do not operate the phone to reach the Luka Ending.
Load Save H and call “Phone Microwave (Provisional)” at the phone prompt to continue to Chapter 9.
Chapter 9 – Moeka Ending
Kurisu’s Important Email
Reply to “Contact Me, Idiot!” with “Restless”. This is required for the True Ending route.
First Chapter-End Phone Operation
On the first phone prompt, do not send the email. Let the story continue to register the exclusive CG. Do not send the D-Mail at this point.
Save I – Moeka Ending
Create Save I before the second chapter-end phone operation.
To reach the Moeka Ending, do not operate the phone at the second prompt either.
Load Save I and, at the second prompt, send an email to “(Unregistered) Phone Microwave (Provisional)” to continue to Chapter 10.
The Three Late-Game Endings
Steins;Gate True Ending
From the main True Ending route, continue through Chapters 6–9 by performing the required phone operations:
- Chapter 6: Email “Phone Microwave (Provisional)”.
- Chapter 7: Email “(Unregistered) Phone Microwave (Provisional)”.
- Chapter 8: Call “Phone Microwave (Provisional)”.
- Chapter 9: Skip the first phone operation to register the exclusive CG, then email “(Unregistered) Phone Microwave (Provisional)” at the second prompt.
In Chapter 10, reply to “Where Are You Now?” with “Where You Are”.
This completes the Steins;Gate True Ending and unlocks Steins;Gate.
Kurisu Ending
Load Save D. At “Plans”, choose “Night Bus” instead of “Transportation Fare”. This intentionally misses one True Ending condition while preserving the Kurisu Ending route.
Continue through Chapters 6–9 using the required phone operations and complete the route to obtain the Kurisu Ending.
This unlocks the Disintegration of Causality achievement.
Mayuri Ending
Load Save A. At “Did You Write It?”, do not choose “Scientist”. This breaks the first Kurisu email chain.
Continue through Chapters 6–9 using the required phone operations. The route will lead to the Mayuri Ending.
For the additional email achievement, you can also use the following replies from Save A:
- “Did You Write It?” → “Report”
- “Can You Do Me a Favor?” → “Cup Noodles”
Open the final email to unlock the Non-Continuous Feeling achievement.
Steins;Gate True Ending Email Checklist
Chapter 4 – First Email Chain
- “Did You Write It?” → “Scientist”
- “Scientist??” → “Shitty Scientist”
- “Shitty Scientist” → “Bad Joke”
Chapter 4 – Second Email Chain

There is no mandatory email reply in this chapter. After completing the Chapter 7 email chain, continue normally. The reply to “Explain and Then Tell!” with “What’s Going On?” does not affect the True Ending.

Rai-Net Story Summary Achievement
To unlock Rai-Net’s Hero, obtain and actually open all 13 Rai-Net story-summary attachments.

Reply to “Upa…” with “Upa” and open both image attachments in the follow-up email to obtain the two Upa wallpapers.
Chaos;Head Wallpapers
- Chapter 1: “The Decisive Battle Is Right Before Us, Meow” → “Crimson Southern Cross”. Open the image attachment.
- Chapter 5: “Something Fun Today” → “Fubuki-chan and Kaede”. Open both image attachments.
GuaGua Frog Wallpapers
Collect all four GuaGua Frog wallpapers by opening the three image attachments from the Chapter 3 email chain and completing the Chapter 4, Chapter 5, and Chapter 7 email chain that begins with “Did You Write It?”.
Luka’s Sister Email
Reply to “Made Some Sweets” with “Family”, then reply to “About Family” with “Older Sister” and open the final email.
Suzuha’s Martial Arts Email
Reply to “Akihabara” with “Peace” and open the final email.
Faris’s Tea Email
- “Omen of the Great Disaster” → “It”
- “About Her Ability” → “Meow-Meow Language”
- Open the final email.
Mayuri’s Cosplay Email
Reply to “Something Fun Today” with “COSPLAY Costume” and open the final email.

CG percentage achievements are checked when you enter the CG Gallery. If you have already reached the required percentage but the achievement has not unlocked, return to the title screen and enter the CG Gallery once.
- CG Completion Rate 25% — Reach 25% CG completion.
- CG Completion Rate 50% — Reach 50% CG completion.
- CG Completion Rate 75% — Reach 75% CG completion.
- CG Completion Rate 100% — Collect every CG and reach 100% completion.
