In this guide, I explain how I complete the Childhood Memories section in Subliminal step by step. I follow the same order as the level and focus on the exact actions I take to solve each puzzle and keep progressing.
Childhood Puzzles
This guide includes Childhood Memories Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3, including the slide color puzzle, chase sequence, door color clues, Walter balloon puzzle, purple sensor bar route, and the 7594 car code puzzle.

Childhood Memories Part 1 Walkthrough
- I pay attention to the colors of the slides as I move through the area.
- I input those same colors into the panel in the exact order I saw them. This changes every run, so I follow my own sequence.
- I follow the path until I reach the next set of puzzle sections.
- I find a light hidden to the left of the stairs.
- I place that light into the empty sensor bar to open the doors.
- I go down the yellow slide.
- A chase sequence starts here, so I keep moving forward.
- I continue down the red slide.
- I reach a new section of the level.
- I go up the yellow slide.
- I follow the path, flip the switch, and then return through the same slide.
- I climb up the net and move over the hole with the wire leading into it.
- A friend helps me flip the next switch.
- I return back down and open the door.
- I open the notepad and take note of each door number and color.
- I pick up the light from the sensor bar above so I can use it as a flashlight with LMB.
- I mind the gap and move carefully through the area.
- I stay crouched whenever the game tells me to.
- I input the number into the padlock using the four colors below it, matching the doors I noted earlier.
- I continue down the hallway toward the next section.
Childhood Memories Part 1 complete.
Childhood Memories Part 2 Walkthrough
I use the same progression below to finish the second part of Childhood Memories.
- I grab Walter the balloon from the room on my left.
- I take the light from the sensor bar just outside that room.
- I power the door to the left of the Playplace entrance using the sensor bar above it.
- I place Walter on his pedestal.
- I take the light from the previous room so the door closes behind me.
- I power the gate to the left as I enter the room.
- I crouch with CTRL to get under the gate.
- I take the light that was powering the gate so I stay trapped behind it.
- I power the blue sensor bar in this room and move through the door.
- The existing light keeps the door open for me.
- When my light expires and returns to its earlier position near the gate, I take it again.
- I power the last blue sensor bar in the center of the ceiling.
- All three are powered for a short time, so I move quickly to continue.
Childhood Memories Part 2 complete.
Childhood Memories Part 3 Walkthrough
I use the same progression below to finish the third part of Childhood Memories and move into Bounce House.
- I make my way up the yellow slide and over the mountable blue circle.
- I take the light from the sensor bar through the window.
- I head back toward the beginning of the level by going down the slide and moving toward the purple sensor bars.
- I place the light in the first purple sensor bar using LMB.
- I move forward until I am aligned between the two pillars.
- I take the light again and place it in the sensor bar that is now behind me.
- I walk until I reach the edge of the cutoff, then I take the light out of the sensor bar above me.
- I continue forward and place the light in the next purple sensor bar.
- I observe the poster in the next section.
- This clue is vague, so I walk backwards through any hallway until I go through a door. I make sure not to turn around.
- This room can be inconsistent, so I keep going through rooms until I reach the Bounce House entrance.
- I get ready for Bounce House.
