Super Woden Rally Edge: Real Car Names
In this guide, I explain step by step how I set up real car names in Super Woden Rally Edge. By editing a single text file, I can replace the fictional in game car names with real world car names. This method is simple, reversible, and works on both Windows and Steam Deck.
How to Setup Real Car Names on Windows
Locate the Custom Car Names File
First, I go to the following folder on my PC:
- C:\Users<username>\AppData\LocalLow\ViJuDa\Super Woden Rally Edge\Save
Inside this folder, I find a file called CUSTOM_CAR_NAMES.txt.
Backup the Original Names
In the same folder, there is a file named ORIGINAL_CAR_NAMES.txt. This file contains the default car names provided by the game. I keep this file unchanged so I can restore the original names at any time.
Replace the File Content
I open CUSTOM_CAR_NAMES.txt with a text editor and replace all existing content with the list below. After saving the file, the changes apply the next time I launch the game.
How to Setup Real Car Names on Steam Deck
Switch to Desktop Mode
On Steam Deck, I first switch from Gaming Mode to Desktop Mode.
Find the Save Folder
I navigate to the following directory:
- /home/deck/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/3218630/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/LocalLow/ViJuDa/Super Woden Rally Edge/Save
Inside this folder, I locate CUSTOM_CAR_NAMES.txt.
Edit the File
I open CUSTOM_CAR_NAMES.txt and replace its content with the car name list provided below. After saving, I can return to Gaming Mode and launch the game.

This setup only changes how car names are displayed. It does not affect gameplay, performance, or save stability. If I ever want to revert back to the default names, I simply restore the original file or copy the content from ORIGINAL_CAR_NAMES.txt back into CUSTOM_CAR_NAMES.txt.
This is the easiest way I found to use real car names in Super Woden Rally Edge without installing mods.
