How to Reach the Hidden Island in Queen’s Domain

In Queen’s Domain, there is a small island that looks difficult to reach during normal exploration. I found a way to get there by using all five air dashes and a sword with a lunging attack. In this guide, I’ll explain how I climb onto the Mausoleum roof, make the jump to the hidden island, and find the loot waiting there.

Hidden Island Guide

Reaching the hidden island in Queen’s Domain is possible, but I need the right movement abilities and equipment before attempting it. The route starts at the Mausoleum and involves climbing onto its roof before making a long jump toward the island.

Where Is the Hidden Island?

While exploring Queen’s Domain, I noticed a small island separated from the area I could normally reach. The image below shows the island I’m trying to get to.

To reach it, I use a combination of air dashes and repeated sword lunges while in mid-air. However, I first need to prepare a few things.

Requirements for Reaching the Hidden Island

Before trying to reach the island, I make sure I have the following:

  • All five air dashes: I need to unlock every air dash before attempting the jump. There are five in total.
  • A sword with a lunging alternate attack: I can use the Rusty Sword, Ancient Sword, or Pandora Sword. The Ancient Sword becomes available from the trader after evolving the Rusty Sword. There may be other swords with similar lunging attacks, but these are the ones I know.
  • Access to the Mausoleum roof: I need to climb onto the roof because it provides the starting point for the jump toward the island.

Once I have these requirements covered, I can begin making my way up the Mausoleum.

How to Get onto the Mausoleum Roof

The first part of the route involves reaching a window, jumping onto a nearby ledge, and using air dashes to reach another opening. I follow these steps to get onto the roof.

Step 1: Find the Window Near the Mausoleum Entrance

First, I head toward the window shown below. I can reach this area from the entrance I use after dealing with the Grand Archives. The location is only a short distance from that entrance.

I follow the path until I reach the sarcophagus at the far end. From there, I jump on top of the sarcophagus, then jump and use an air dash to reach the nearby ledge.

Step 2: Air Dash Left Toward the Skeletons

After reaching the ledge, I jump outward and turn left while using two air dashes. If I miss my direction slightly, I can use additional dashes to correct my movement.

My target is an opening where a couple of basic skeletons are waiting. This is the next place I need to land.

Step 3: Follow the Path to the Roof

Once I land in the opening with the skeletons, the remaining path becomes much easier to follow. I continue along the route shown in the image below until I reach the Mausoleum roof.

How to Jump from the Mausoleum Roof to the Island

Now that I’m on the Mausoleum roof, I can prepare for the most difficult part of the route. I need to reach the eastern edge, find the right jumping position, and use my movement abilities to cross the gap.

Step 1: Go to the Eastern Edge of the Roof

I make my way to the eastern edge of the Mausoleum roof, as shown in the image below.

If this is my first visit, I encounter a miniboss in the center of four braziers. This enemy drops what I believe is called the Green Sealstone.

If I’ve only just reached this area and don’t have enough air dashes, I prefer returning much later. Without the necessary movement abilities, reaching the island becomes considerably more difficult.

Step 2: Drop onto the Platform Behind the Cross

From the eastern edge, I drop down onto the roof platform behind the cross. This is where I prepare for the long jump toward the island.

I use the position shown below and make sure to get a good running jump before leaving the platform.

Step 3: Combine Air Dashes with Sword Lunges

After making the running jump, I begin using my air dashes to move toward the island. The problem is that even five air dashes can leave me slightly short of the shore unless I time them correctly.

There are two ways I can approach the jump. I can carefully space out my air dashes to conserve as much airtime as possible, or I can use the method that worked for me: dash forward repeatedly and then use a sword’s lunging alternate attack as many times as possible while still in the air.

The Rusty Sword, Ancient Sword, and Pandora Sword have lunging attacks that propel me forward. However, these attacks also pull me toward the ground, so I need to maintain as much height as possible during the crossing.

I can also quickly switch to a Cestus while airborne and perform an uppercut to gain a small amount of additional height.

By combining the air dashes with repeated sword lunges, I can cover the remaining distance and reach the island’s shore.

Hidden Island Loot and Rewards

Once I successfully land on the hidden island, I can explore the small area and collect several notable items.

  • Trader’s House Keys: These drop from a miniboss located on the island.
  • Filthy Lootbag: Another item I can obtain while exploring the island.
  • Silver Skull: One of the silver skulls is hidden behind the shed, if I remember the location correctly.
  • Yellow Chest: I can find a yellow chest on one of the cliffs. Umbada provides the keys after I unlock his front door.

That’s how I reach the hidden island in Queen’s Domain. The most important part is having all five air dashes and a sword with a lunging attack. Once I reach the Mausoleum roof and find the correct jumping point, I can use these abilities together to cross the gap and explore the island.
