In We Were Here Tomorrow, I solve the Cable Puzzle by activating connected modules in a specific order. Each module can only be activated once, and certain modules remain inaccessible until I unlock the corresponding doors. In this guide, I explain how the cable connections work, which modules unlock each door, and the exact route I follow to complete the puzzle.
Cable Puzzle Guide and Solution
To solve the Cable Puzzle in We Were Here Tomorrow, I need to follow the connections between modules without activating the same module twice. My route starts at GEN, and I must unlock the necessary doors while reaching Ψ02, Θ03, λ03, and Ψ07 in the correct order.
How the Cable Puzzle Works
Before following the solution, I need to understand how the modules and their connections work. These are the rules I follow throughout the puzzle:
- Every module has its own unique ID.
- I can only activate a module if it is connected to the module I activated immediately before it.
- I cannot activate the same module more than once.
- I always begin the puzzle at GEN.
- At the beginning, GEN, all Ψ modules, all Σ modules, Δ02, and Δ05 are available.
- RED, GRE, and BLU are locked doors rather than modules, so I cannot activate or enter them as part of my route.
Since I cannot revisit modules, I have to choose my connections carefully while unlocking the doors needed for the remaining route.
How to Unlock the GRE, RED, and BLU Doors
Each locked door becomes accessible after I activate a particular module. Here are the modules I use to unlock each door:
- GRE Door: I activate Σ02 to unlock access to Θ01, Θ02, Θ03, and Θ04.
- RED Door: I activate Σ03 to unlock access to Δ01, Δ03, and Δ04.
- BLU Door: I activate Δ03 to unlock access to λ01, λ02, and λ03.
Unlocking a door only makes its associated modules available. I still need to follow the cable connections from my last activated module, and I cannot return to a module I have already used.
Cable Puzzle Solution (Spoilers)
For the complete solution, I follow a route that activates each module no more than once. The important part is reaching Ψ02, Θ03, λ03, and Ψ07 in that exact order while unlocking the required doors along the way.
Complete Cable Puzzle Module Route
Starting from GEN, I activate the modules in the following sequence:
GEN → Ψ01 → Ψ04 → Ψ02 → Ψ03 → Ψ06 → Σ04 → Σ03 → Σ01 → Σ02 → Ψ08 → Θ03 → Δ02 → Δ03 → λ02 → λ03 → λ01 → Ψ07
By following this exact activation order, I unlock the necessary doors, stay within the cable connection rules, and reach Ψ07 without activating any module twice.
