Uncle Chop’s Rocket Shop How to Survive Reactor Explosion

In this guide we will tell you how not to die from the reactor explosion in Uncle Chop’s Rocket Shop. You will survive the reactor explosion!

How to Survive a Reactor Explosion

If you’re reading this, you or someone you know (or maybe a client of yours) barely survived a reactor disaster—or didn’t and now want to avoid a repeat. Don’t worry; we’ve got you covered.

Reactors can be tricky, especially on medium-level jobs where the challenge suddenly spikes. Here’s a guide to navigating these dangerous scenarios safely.

Pre-Landing Checklist

Step 1: Be prepared.

  • Bring a pump. It’ll save you precious time fixing coolant problems.
  • Have a full tank of water and energy fuel ready if the job involves a broken fuel system. (Pro tip: A full tank can stabilize the reactor temporarily while you fix things.)
  • If you’re dealing with missing wires later in the game, you might want to skip this step entirely and focus on the core.

Diagnosing the Beeping

  1. Check the Reactor Core. Open the cover by pressing the (A) button.
  2. Use the manual to identify:
    • Total fuel level (left gauge).
    • Coolant slider and level (middle gauges).
    • Core integrity (bottom meter).

Common Problems and Fixes

1. Core stability dropping fast:

  • CORE EXTRACTION immediately.

2. Reactor shielding is red:

  • CORE EXTRACTION immediately.

3. Fuel gauge empty:

  • Flip the fuel pump switch.
  • If it stays empty and the fuel system is broken: CORE EXTRACTION (you won’t have time to fix it).

4. Coolant system not maxed out:

  • Move the slider to the top.
  • If it’s still not working:
    • Check the pump (usually next to the reactor). Make sure it’s intact and turned ON.
    • Top up the ice.
  • If everything else is fine but the coolant is still unstable, service the fuel system.

5. Both fuel and coolant systems failing:

  • CORE EXTRACTION.

Core Extraction

When all else fails, it’s time for CORE EXTRACTION. Here’s how:

  1. Turn off the fuel pump and coolant system.
    • Fuel pump switch is DOWN for ON and UP for OFF.
  2. Follow the manual’s bolt sequence as fast as possible.
  3. Flip the tabs and remove the core.
  4. Place the core in your inventory (and hope it’s not filled with junk).

If you succeed, congratulations—you avoided a supersonic reactor-core-to-the-face disaster. If not, the screen cuts to black, and you’ll know why.

Servicing Secondary Systems

Cooler System:

  • Use the ratchet mechanism to process the cooler.
  • Place a cube, crank it down, press the button, and load the ball into the tube.
  • Ensure the pump is present, intact, and ON.

Fuel System (Live Reactor):

  • Work quickly! If the reactor is running, there’s no time for a leisurely fill-up.
  • Swap fuel cans on the spot to keep stability under control.

Reactors are dangerous, but with preparation and quick action, you can handle them safely. Good luck out there—stay alive and keep your clients happy!
