Puzzle Solutions and Washing Machine Codes
In the basement of the game, you’ll find a washing machine connected to a keypad with strange keys. This keypad is part of a hidden puzzle system in the game. Solving these puzzles provides codes for the washing machine, which unlocks fun rewards like dialogues, new outfits, and achievements.
If you want to solve the puzzles yourself, stop reading here! But if you need help, this guide provides the locations, solutions, and reasoning for each puzzle. Spoiler tags will be used for solutions and explanations.
Important Notes:
- Each code can only be entered once. Entering a duplicate code will have the same effect as entering a wrong one.
- Make sure to press ENTER after typing a code to submit it.
Where Can I Track My Washing Machine Codes?
In the guidebook, there’s a page located between Reliable Home Power and -Fuel- that tracks which codes you’ve entered. When you enter a code, a Yin-yang stamp appears on this page.
At night, if you use the blacklight near the parts shop, this page shows clues about puzzle locations. These puzzles are usually marked with the same Yin-yang symbol.

1 2 4 7 5 3 X 6 8 HALF SMILE 9 INFINITY 6 3 5 4 SMILE - Explanation: This puzzle uses a graph of a math function called the “Riemann zeta function.” It’s a pretty complicated math idea, but you don’t need to worry about the details. The clue in the book mentions “xx=14,” which is a hint about a specific number (about 14.13472514). The answer is hidden in the digits inside square brackets on the graph. Just use those numbers to figure out the code on the keypad!
