This guide covers an efficient endgame skill leveling method in Legends of Dragaea Idle Dungeons, utilizing the unique properties of Golden Slimes found in the final story area.
Skill Leveling with Golden Slimes
Applicable Skills:
This method can be used to level the following skills effectively:
- Weapons: Clubs, Staves, Daggers, Lances, and Two-Handed Weapons
- Magic: Green, White, and Black Magic
- Defensive Skills: Light, Medium, and Heavy Armor
- Utility Skills: Dodge and Security (added with the dagger update)

Equipment with experience bonus (%) traits will significantly improve results.
(Note: The guide is based on 10x monster strength difficulty. Results may vary at lower settings.)
How It Works – The Golden Slime Trick:
On the first floor of the Yggtree, you can encounter Golden Slimes. These creatures use only non-damaging debuff abilities, including Sleep, which can effectively lock your character in a permanent sleep cycle when facing three at once.
While this may sound dangerous, these debuffs repeatedly trigger armor experience gain, even though they don’t activate block. As a result, your armor experience skyrockets during the fight.
Skill Leveling
Preparation
- Enter the Yggtree solo (no party).
- Equip one piece of each armor type (light, medium, heavy).
- Re-enter the dungeon until you encounter a group of three Golden Slimes.
- Enable 100% Elite Monsters for extra experience.
Ability Setup
When under Sleep, your abilities’ cooldowns stop, but the Dodge perk “Counter” can still trigger random abilities upon successful dodges.
This allows you to level up non-damaging abilities even while your character remains locked in the debuff loop.
If dodging is difficult:
- Invest in Agility-boosting perks in the Knife or Dodge trees.
- Equip the unique legendary item “Winged Sandals”, which converts 20% of Magic Defense into Agility.
- With the Block Prowess perk, this setup can reach extremely high block rates, creating an ideal training loop.
Perks & Synergies
For melee users:
- Use the Katana perk “Double Technique” for a 25% chance to double ability procs.
- Remove your shield to train two-handed weapon skills.
Example Loadouts
Melee/Weapon Training Loadout
- Steal+ (Dagger / Security)
- Roar+ (Club)
- Imbue+ (Staff)
- Hold Position+ (Lance)
- Flex Slot: Mug (Dagger / Security) or your lowest-leveled skill
(These abilities have no weapon restrictions.)
Magic Training Loadout
When training magic skills, use the “Multimagic” perk from the Red Magic tree to chain spell procs. Keep melee and magic loops separate for efficiency.
- Sanctuary (Green Magic)
- Dispel (Green Magic) or Luck (for Dodge leveling)
- Revitalize (White Magic) or Heal+
- Revitalize+ (White Magic)
- Toxic Cloud (Black Magic – the only non-damaging spell in this category)
If using Revitalize, consider equipping Magic Speed perks or armor to increase the frequency of ability activations naturally.
Tips for Optimal Gains
- Always equip gear with EXP Bonus Traits.
- Focus on non-damaging abilities for long training loops.
- Adjust difficulty or monster modifiers based on your character’s durability.
- Separate training sessions for melee, magic, and armor to avoid conflicting skill progress.
