Forsaken Frontiers Items, Strategies and Tips

I have prepared a general tips guide for progression, items, enemies and strategies in Forsaken Frontiers.

Forsaken Frontiers Guide

General Guide Tips and Tricks on Debt, Enemies, Strategies and more.

Balance, Debt, & Progression

  • Debt must be paid every 3 days.
  • Every $1 earned translates to $100 paid towards debt.
  • Each player death increases the debt owed.

To survive as long as possible, focus on building up an early reserve of funds, use resources wisely, and only buy items on sale when absolutely necessary.

Enemies

  • General Tips:
    • Most monsters can be outrun (until stamina runs out), except for the Ventress when it’s wounded.
    • Listen for breathing sounds – this means an enemy is nearby; consider hiding or getting away.
    • Slamming doors in a monster’s face will stun it briefly. Timing takes practice.
    • Proximity chat is generally safe near every enemy except the spider (may attract enemies).
    • Enemies cannot hear radio comms.
    • Kicking doors or triggering alarms can bait or aggro enemies, which can help in some cases.
    • Doorstunning (slamming a door in an enemy’s face) provides a chance to run past and temporarily jams the chainsaw enemy.
    • Locking doors right after a stun delays them longer (but don’t trap teammates).
  • Spider:
    • Moves quickly.
    • Detects audio – avoid proximity chat, sprinting (unless using shadowstep), and try crouch-walking.
    • Can cocoon caught players, preventing them from crawling.
    • Release cocooned teammates only when safe; the noise will attract enemies.
  • The Butcher/Chainsawman/Nancy:
    • Aggros based on sound and sight.
    • If caught, he will harm, then down the player, and may return to hook them in his room.
  • Forsaken/Patient/Zombie:
    • Moves fast but can only see directly in front.
    • Cannot hear but aggro from a distance; hide until they leave.
  • Siren/Screamer:
    • Aggros other enemies to the area.
    • Only sees in front; safe to follow behind.
    • Running past is possible, but getting far away is ideal.
  • Ventress/Grudge/Hunter:
    • Targets isolated players.

Maps & Modifiers

    • Maps have a Remaining Value for loot probability, which recharges by playing other maps over a few days.
