If you’re trying to unlock all the Black Stars in the game Berry Bury Berry, I created this guide to explain each step in a clear and simple way.
All Black Stars Guide
I walk through each star in order and explain exactly what is required, what upgrades you need, and how to complete each puzzle without missing anything.
Tile Puzzle Star
This puzzle is very straightforward but requires attention.
I pick up blueberries and throw them onto each panel to reveal hidden images. Every image belongs to a matching pair, and my goal is to match all pairs correctly. If I make a mistake, the puzzle locks and I must wait for the day to restart before trying again.
Once I successfully match all image pairs, the puzzle rewards me with a computer password.

Radio Math Star
To unlock this star, I first need the upgraded sledgehammer.
I smash the walls around the computer room, which reveals two hints related to the radio. After uncovering the hints, I grab the radio and press its buttons in a specific order based on the numbers shown on the wall.
The most important rule is that I always press the right button first, which means I add first before switching sides.
Correct Button Order

After entering the full sequence correctly, the Black Star unlocks and I also receive a tape.
Smoothie Star
This star has several requirements before I can start.
Required Upgrades and Progress:
- Third sledgehammer upgrade
- Chainsaw upgrade
- Completion of the matching tile puzzle
- Computer password unlocked
First, I knock down the third layer of walls until the smoothie stand becomes visible.
On the computer nearby, I find a text document that explains the perfect smoothie recipe.
To make the smoothie, I shred the required ingredients using the chainsaw. The order does not matter.
Smoothie Ingredients:
- 5 blueberries, which fill half of the juice meter
- 3 strawberries
- 1 kiwi
- 1 peach
Once the smoothie is complete, I bring it to the stand. This unlocks the Black Star and also removes the blur from a lore item, which is a receipt.
Trophy Star
This is a late game star and takes time to complete.
Required Upgrades:
- Bubble upgrade
- Pumpkin buddy
I also need to destroy the walls around the computer room until the concrete underneath is revealed.
To reduce waiting time, I upgrade the golden berry chance and unlock the berry picker upgrade for the tree. This helps in case I do not have the correct buddy available on a given day.
This star can be completed over multiple days, so there is no pressure to finish it all at once.
Unlocking the Trophy Room
I go to the right side of the computer building and fly upward to reach the cutout entrance. Inside the trophy room, each pedestal shows a silhouetted berry.
I place the golden version of each required berry onto its matching pedestal. Once all pedestals are filled, the Black Star unlocks and additional lore is revealed.
Push Pin Stars
In the left side of the final layer, if I am facing the computer room entrance, I find a large blue push pin surrounded by several smaller red pins.
The puzzle requires using the hole to reveal how many pins exist between the colored shapes and the large blue pin.
Solving the Puzzle
I carefully count the number of pins revealed for each shape. Then, I enter the correct number by interacting with each shape’s tomato pincushion.
When all numbers are entered correctly, I interact with the large blue push pin. If the values are correct, the Black Star unlocks.
Taxi Star
This is one of the easiest Black Stars to unlock.
In the final layer, directly across from the computer room, I find a clock next to the star door. This clock marks the arrival of a yellow taxi.
The taxi appears, stops briefly, then turns around and clips through the wall.
How to Unlock It
I place the hole in the correct position and wait. The hole must be large enough to swallow cars. When the taxi drives over the hole and falls in, the Black Star unlocks immediately.
Final Star
This is the most difficult Black Star to obtain.
I locate it by finding a hidden gap at the back of the final layer, behind the computer room. The location is marked by the same floating star used for all Black Star areas.
Entering the Secret Area
I move the hole between the final layer wall and the secret room, which reveals a small gap. Using the bubble, I float down and then upward through this opening.
Inside, I discover that the room is deceptive. Walking forward leads to an infinite hallway.
Solving the Final Trick
To reach the flower, I walk backward while facing the green wall. When I reach and touch the flower, I am teleported back outside.
Touching the flower alone does not unlock the star. To finish, I break the bubble outside the entrance. Only then do I unlock the achievement and receive the final Black Star.
