SULFUR Guide

General tips about SULFUR.

Weapons

There are various weapons available, but the recommended ones are “M11A2 Fisk (similar to M4A1),” “M182 Pierre Rifle (similar to Garand),” “Beck 8,” “Drifter 9,” “Ferryman,” and “Mossman.”

M11A2 Fisk

  • Ammo: 5.56mm
  • Magazine: 30 rounds
  • Overview: Highly user-friendly, with high standards across damage, rate of fire, and recoil.
  • Best Match: Pairs well with “Nature Scroll” (to immobilize enemies), damage-boosting and durability-enhancing items, and an attachment that converts automatic firing to single-shot mode, maximizing damage. Tap-firing is preferable over full-auto, making this attachment ideal.

M182 Pierre Rifle

  • Ammo: 7.62mm
  • Magazine: 6 rounds
  • Overview: Also very user-friendly, capable of one-shot kills with headshots for most enemies.
  • Best Match: Damage-boosting and multi-shot attachments. Slowdown debuffs aren’t very effective in this game, so prioritize these two.

Beck 8

  • Ammo: 9mm
  • Magazine: 26 rounds
  • Overview: A close-range machine pistol with balanced rate of fire, power, and quick reload for sustained combat.
  • Best Match: “Nature Scroll,” spread reduction, or go full spread/damage focus for close quarters.

Drifter 9

  • Ammo: 9mm
  • Magazine: 20 rounds
  • Overview: A mid-range SMG, distinct from Beck 8, with good power and reload speed.
  • Best Match: Multi-shot or damage-boosting attachments. Similar to M4A1 replica, works well with a single-shot attachment.

Ferryman

  • Ammo: 50BMG
  • Magazine: 20 rounds
  • Overview: Fires sniper-level rounds in full-auto with insane power (400 damage), comparable to anti-materiel rifles like Dolphin 99. High recoil is expected.
  • Best Match: Recoil reduction and single-shot attachments. The high base power means damage reduction is not significant.

Mossman

  • Ammo: 12 gauge
  • Magazine: 6 rounds
  • Overview: Easy-to-use shotgun. Compared to other SGs, which tend to have unique firing mechanisms (e.g., vertical double-barrel, fully charged shots), this one is more straightforward.
  • Best Match: “Lava Scroll,” multi-shot, bounce, or spread reduction. Avoid ammo type changes, as they reset multi-shot effects and reduce shots to three, significantly weakening the weapon.

Items

In this game, items (aside from oils and weapons) are split into consumables and cash-generating items.

  • Consumables: Heal HP, cure status effects, or boost movement speed. Cooking offers more benefits than raw materials, so it’s better to make recipes found on wikis or from foreign players.
  • Cash-Generating Items: Occasionally found on enemies, in treasure chests, barrels, or wooden crates. Below is a list of confirmed items and their prices.

Dungeons

Cave

A seven-layer dungeon with an amulet recharge on the fourth layer.

  • Enemies: Goblins armed with spears, tackles, or bows. Mini-boss on Layer 5, elemental projectiles on Layer 6, and boss on Layer 7 who calls reinforcements at half and one-third HP.
  • Other Creatures: Dogs, cultists, skeletons, and ghosts (dogs are particularly strong).
  • Secret Area: A bridge section with a hidden pink room above, guarded by rifle-wielding cultists.
  • Treasures: Break cracked walls with dynamite or grenades to find scrolls or treasure chests.

Town

A five-layer structure, with recharge on the third layer.

  • Battle Zones: Narrow alleys and open squares.
  • Enemies: Cultists and dogs; strong synergy between close-range dog attacks and cultists’ ranged attacks.
  • Boss Fight: Two-phase battle. In Phase 1, small enemies attack with launchers or lasers; Phase 2 involves heavier enemies and dog waves after a plunge into water.

Sewers

Four layers with amulet recharge on the third.

  • Enemies: Cultists and infected creatures.
  • Battle Style: Similar to Cave. No boss fight.

Hedge Maze

A single-layer maze where you must navigate to the exit.

  • Enemies: Infected creatures that respawn. Boost speed with boots and evade.

Dungeon

Four-layer structure, only accessible via the maze. Amulet recharge on the third layer.

  • Enemies: Cultists, dogs, and a new smaller, agile cultist that jumps around, causing close-range deaths if overwhelmed.
