Old Coin Pusher Friends 3: Coins, Magatama and Achievements

I have listed how to get old coins, magatama, achievements in Old Coin Pusher Friends 3 in this guide.

How to get Coins and Magatama

Game Flow (Early Game)

At the start of the game, you have 500 ancient coins. However, if you recklessly spend them in solo play, you’ll soon face game over. In solo play, your coin count won’t decrease if you don’t spend them. (In multiplayer, you’ll be considered inactive if you don’t spend coins within a certain time.)

Here’s a way to earn coins gradually:

  • Start the game → Move to collect falling coins → Save and exit → Repeat.

Once you’ve saved enough coins, you can exchange them for ability upgrades. Early on, prioritize expanding your box and increasing your movement speed to avoid missing falling coins.

  • Currently, the box can be expanded up to 8 levels, and the jackpot conversion up to 7 levels.
  • The suction ability attracts nearby coins, starting with a cooldown of 15 minutes, which can be reduced to 5 minutes at max upgrade.

As you upgrade your abilities, the game’s difficulty eases, but costs increase with each upgrade, making it challenging to max out everything in solo play. However, random multiplayer matching exists, so don’t worry! Let’s have fun and earn coins together!

Game Flow (Mid-Game and Beyond)

The following assumes multiplayer play. In multiplayer, ancient coins are always auto-fired, but you’ll still earn more than you spend.

Important items available at inns:

  • Fleet-footed Sandals: Speed up your progress in the board game.
  • Hairpin: If you land on a spot where a “beautiful woman” is resting, she’ll join your journey, increasing your bonus at the goal.

Reaching the goal in the board game awards magatama based on the treasures collected along the way. Magatama can enhance special abilities. Among these, the Coin Gatling and Magatama Cannon are powerful weapons. Coin Gatling has a 60-second cooldown, while Magatama Cannon has an 8-second cooldown.

Transformations aren’t necessary for game completion, but unlocking the Armor Warrior and General achieves certain accomplishments. Other achievements can be unlocked naturally through continued multiplayer play.

Playing random multiplayer for a certain time will yield significant earnings. At this level, using the Magatama Cannon to defeat yokai won’t result in a loss.

Yokai List

Note: Evil Magistrates and Corrupt Officials are technically human but are treated as yokai.

  • Tengu: Moves quickly between the left edge, center, and right edge of the screen. Shoots lightning balls that, when collected, scatter nearby coins.
  • Ushi-oni: Moves back and forth from the left to the right edge of the screen. Shoots large cocoons to block your attacks.
  • Uwan: Moves similarly to the Tengu but slightly more complex. Creates whirlwinds that scatter nearby coins.
  • Evil Magistrate: Moves back and forth from the left to the right edge of the screen. Shoots cursed coins that immobilize your box for a certain time when collected.
  • Corrupt Official: Moves back and forth from the left to the right edge of the screen. Builds ladders to block your attacks, but you can attack through gaps.
