Step 1: Check the Map!
Before you start, look at the map included in the game so you know where to go.
Watch Out for Wasps
Wasps are super annoying—they can sting you and even kill you (there’s an achievement for dying like this!). If they’re hovering over the cabin door, it’ll be tricky to grab the shotgun (hidden under the bed on the second floor), but don’t give up. Here’s how:
- Crouch and climb the ladder to sneak past the wasps.
- Grab the shotgun and load it with shells.
- Toss the shotgun down into the mud below.
- Let the wasps sting you and get the death achievement if you haven’t already.
- Respawn, grab the shotgun, and take revenge on those wasps!
How to Carry More Items (Get a Backpack!)
To carry more items, you’ll need a backpack. Here’s the step-by-step:
- Find the boat motor and fuel tank (usually near the shed where the Axe is). Attach them to the boat for later use.
- Grab the Axe from the shed and hop in the boat.
- Head left from the cabin until you reach the next dock.
- Talk to Kalevi, who’ll ask you to chop wood. Complete the task, and they’ll reward you with a backpack.
- You can attach the Axe to the backpack once you have it.
Backpack Tips:
- To access the inventory, you’ll need to take the backpack off.
- Adding items to it can be tricky, but most things fit inside—even beer cases (important later!).
Help Marjatta and Get a Rifle
Keep going past your cabin to find another dock and meet Marjatta. She’ll ask you to cut her grass. Here’s how:
- Cut 4 areas of grass:
- Two large areas in front of her house.
- One area behind the house.
- One to the left of her woodshed (this is where the mower is).
- Once you’re done, Marjatta will reward you with a single-shot bolt-action rifle and 2 packs of ammo. Toss them into your backpack!
How to Make Money
To earn money, you’ll need to sell Kilju (a homemade drink). You’ll also need 25 cases of beer if you take Jari’s job for a turbo upgrade (usable on the boat or scooter). Here’s how to make Kilju:
- Gather the tools:
- A bucket.
- Lid and airlock (found in the shed near the Axe).
- Add the ingredients:
- 8 liters of water (use the pump near the car).
- 2 kg of sugar (buy from Kauppa, open 10 am–6 pm).
- 25g of dry yeast (also at Kauppa).
- Put on the lid and airlock.
- Wait until the bubbling stops (or watch the numbers stop changing).
- Voilà! You’ll have about 8 liters of Kilju.
Selling Kilju
- Marjatta likes high alcohol content (about 14.4%) and will buy repeatedly.
- Pekka and Jari will also buy from you, even with lower alcohol content (12% or more is safe).
- Kalevi will only buy once after you chop wood for them.
Bonus Ways to Make Money:
- Sell fish, moose meat, or bear meat at Kauppa.
- Your backpack can hold all these items for easy transport!

Console access to input console commands:
If you want to access the console in this game, but you are not using a keyboard that supports it. Enter settings, scroll all the way to the bottom of the “Input” section and swap it for the Tilde key ~ here or do like i did and use the key that is to the left of the number one key.
