The Iron Rig Achievement Guide

New DLC achievements in Dredge: The Iron Rig.

Missing Shipment

Missing Shipment

To earn this achievement, deliver a missing Ironhaven crate to the Foreman. The wreckage containing the crate is located just southwest of the rig, marked by a small golden oil rig stamp.

Remedial Apparatus

Remedial Apparatus

To unlock this achievement, purchase and equip the Siphon Trawler from the engineer at the Tier 2 Factory as you progress through the story.

Enhanced Abilities

Enhanced Abilities

This achievement is earned by purchasing the upgraded light, foghorn, and spyglass from the engineer at the Tier 1 Tech Lab.

Shadowed Splashes

To get this achievement, visit an oil spill and either allow an oil bubble to burst near you or let the oil nightmares from God of War explode near your boat. This will create an oil splash, negatively impacting your sanity. Collect five of these splashes to earn the achievement.

Dark Custodian

Dark Custodian

To unlock this achievement, collect 10 dark canisters. Use the Siphon Trawler to extract oil from spills around the map. Once enough oil is gathered, it will convert into a dark canister. Repeat this ten times to earn the achievement. (Unlike “Shadowed Splashes,” you don’t need to have all canisters in your inventory at once.)

Hull: Industrial

Hull Industrial

To get this achievement, advance the story until you meet the Ironhaven Executive, who grants permission to construct fleet services that upgrade your boat to its maximum level. Purchasing the upgrade will cost a few crates and around $2,500 and will reward you with this achievement.

Rig Architect

Rig Architect

This achievement is unlocked by maxing out your rig by purchasing all tiers in every building. You can expedite this by investing in the material trawl net early, which passively gathers materials needed to craft Ironhaven crates. Visiting Ironhaven wreckages to dredge up crates can also help.

The Iron Ruin

The Iron Ruin

To unlock this hidden achievement, sabotage the rig’s defense system by progressing through the story. The Override blueprint can be acquired from the Stellar Bay scientist and will cost one crate and a dark canister.

The Gleaming Goliath

The Gleaming Goliath

To earn this achievement, enrage and escape the oil amalgamation. To do this, enter an oil field with very low sanity. You may first notice oil squids and oil tentacles, but eventually, the monster will appear. They are slow, so avoid crashing into anything while fleeing. After a brief chase, the achievement will be yours.

Exotic Exemplar

Exotic Exemplar

This achievement requires you to catch an exotic aberration. The new update makes this easier with the introduction of aberration and exotic baits. Simply acquire exotic bait from the engineer, go to a region with an exotic, toss the bait, and use the atrophy power-up for a guaranteed aberration (provided you have already discovered the fish).

Ancient Angler

Bonus: Fish #230

  • For those wondering what happened to the scientist, you can find out by using aberration bait underneath the rig after completing the story. The chances of catching the scientist are very low, but you can improve your odds by equipping only the oceanic hydraulic rod to narrow the pool of fish you can catch.
